Oxnard Teen Drowns Near Mandalay Beach Resort
Members of the Oxnard Fire Department’s Water Rescue Team pulled a local teen swimmer from the Pacific near Mandalay Beach Resort this Saturday, but he was later pronounced dead at St. John’s Regional Medical Center.
Efforts to resuscitate 19-year-old Alan Carbajal failed after the firefighters spotted him floating face down in the water about 25 yards offshore a little after 4 p.m.
